1. GENERAL

The Association of Women of Megali Panagia organizes every year since 2013 the mountain running race “Xeskouriazo” on Mountain Kakavos, in Megali Panagia, Halkidiki.
The race is dedicated to the fight against gold-copper mining that threatens the mountain, the waters, the lives of the residents of Halkidiki, and the wider area.
Our goal is to promote trail running, highlight the natural beauty, and protect the environment as a source of life and joy for everyone, now and forever.

2. ACCOMMODATION

There is the possibility of accommodation in 10-person rooms next to the Shrine of the Holy Pilgrimage of Megali Panagia (toilets & showers available). Accommodation is free of charge. The residents must bring their own sheets, sleeping bags, or blankets and contact the organizers at least 10 days before the race date on the following phone numbers: +306942678818

3. PARALLEL EVENTS

During the races, there will be activities for children and adults.
After the race, refreshments will be offered to the participants and at the same time, a traditional celebration with live music will take place in Chorostasi Square.
