XeSkouriaZo Trail _2025 Program

The days are counting down for the 12th ΞεΣκουριάΖω, and we are eagerly preparing to welcome once again people of all ages, from every corner of the country and even beyond its borders. We are getting ready to host you at a race that is not just a sporting event, but a race for the forests, the water, for life itself!


Chasing Dragons & Open Discussion

At a time when nature is being plundered more and more, we choose to open the 12th ΞεΣκουριάΖω with the screening of the documentary Chasing Dragons and an open discussion about nature conservation and mountain running.

Chasing Dragons is a documentary dedicated to protecting Nature, animals, and water. It is an adventure stretching from Grammos to Tymfi, about the Egyptian vulture, birds of prey, and mountains without wind turbines.

  • Intervention by the Struggle Committee of Megali Panagia Against Gold-Copper Mining


Bib & Race Pack Collection

From Saturday, October 4, at the Megali Panagia Theater (Chalkidiki), race packs will be distributed between 17:00–19:00.
On Sunday, the race office will be open from 08:00 at the main square of Megali Panagia, serving all participants. Race pack collection closes 30 minutes before each race starts.

Ten minutes before each race, a mandatory technical briefing will be given by the organizers. Please make sure to arrive on time.

Additional Information

Traditional Celebration
Right after the awards ceremony, from 14:30 onwards, there will be a traditional feast at the Megali Panagia square with the folk band Dromolagnoi.

Camping
There will be a camping area at the Pilgrimage of Megali Panagia, about 1.5km from the race start. The site is clean, shaded by pine trees, and equipped with toilets, a fountain, benches, tables, and parking just a few meters away.
Campers are advised to bring warm clothing as the nights can be cold.

Weather
From Saturday onwards, the weather is expected to improve significantly, while on Sunday conditions look favorable for the smooth running of the races.
